今野朋子の作品は「変形―練り込み」というべきものか。小さな色土のパーツを積み上げ、立体化していく。その作品は、細胞が増殖し成長がとまらない生命力あふれる植物を想像させる。
近年の「楽園の扉」シリーズでは単体の作品が増殖したようなインスタレーションで空間を「我が物」にしている。今回の展示でも壁面作品を中心にした作品構成の中に見える「今野ワールド」に浸っていただきたい。

Konno Tomoko's works could best be described as "transformation-kneading." Small pieces of colored clay are piled up to create three-dimensional objects. Her works evoke the image of a plant brimming with vitality, with cells multiplying and never stopping growth.
In her recent "Gate to Paradise" series, she has made the space her own with installations in which individual works appear to have multiplied. In this exhibition, we hope you will immerse yourself in the "Konno World" that can be seen in the composition of her works, which are centered around wall pieces.
