迫能弘は、穴窯を駆使する作家だが目指しているのはいわゆる「信楽焼」ではなく炭化や窯変などを駆使し土の特性を探し出すような表現を試みている。そこには「周りの自然と自分とのかかわり」を作品にしたい。」という、想いがあるのではないか。造形はやわらかい表情にロクロで引き上げ南蛮風に焼成している。
信楽で南蛮風に焼くとこのようになるという。これも新しい信楽焼像をつくるための試みの一つだと考える

Sako Yoshihiro is an artist who makes full use of the anagama kiln, but what he aims for is not the so-called "Shigaraki ware," but rather he attempts to express the characteristics of the clay by making full use of carbonization and kiln changes. This is likely due to his desire to "create a work that expresses my relationship with the surrounding nature." The sculptures have a soft look, and are pulled up on a potter's wheel and fired in the Nanban style.
When fired in the Nanban style in Shigaraki, this is what it looks like. I think this is also one attempt to create a new Shigaraki ware statue.
