篠原希の作品は穴窯で特有の自然の灰を高温で溶かし、激しい変化を表面に生むよう焼かれているものが多い。自然の土の持つ可能性を「窯」で焼くことによって最大限追及している作家である。土と自然の灰が重なり合うことによってできる作品の複雑な表情を観ていただければと思う。
近年、篠原は自然の土の素材感を活かした作品を手掛けている。ワイルドクレイ。これは、やきものには無理だろうと思われる土も焼いてみる。そこから生まれる土の表情をそのまま受け入れる。というようなことのようだ。
「穴窯」を「土の表情をつくるための道具」として目一杯使う篠原の作品を楽しんでいただきたい。

Many of Shinohara Nozomu's works are fired in an anagama kiln, where the unique natural ash is melted at high temperatures to create dramatic changes on the surface. He is an artist who explores the possibilities of natural clay to the fullest by firing in the kiln. I hope you will enjoy the complex expressions created by the overlapping of clay and natural ash in her works.

In recent years, Shinohara has been working on works that make use of the texture of natural clay. Wild clay. This involves firing clays that would otherwise be thought impossible to use in pottery, and accepting the clay's expression as it is.
We hope you will enjoy Shinohara's works, which make full use of the anagama kiln as a tool for creating the unique expressions of clay.
